The cultivation of duan wood reishi

The mushrooms are grown on natural logs known as “duan” wood.

It takes almost a full year and is the most labour and resource intensive, large red Reishi of superior quality are most

commonly grown using the natural duan wood method, which is the most complex form of cultivation.

It’s superb because it is natural, potent, clean and sustainable. The logs are inoculated in a very clean environment,

and once the inoculation has taken, the logs are buried in the mountain soil.

Superior Duanwood reishi
  1. Separate high quality strain from superior quality red reishi of consistent quality and in a natural environment.

2. The culturing of a high quality Reishi fungus strain in test tubes for about 85 days.

3. The germinating fungi are then inserted into holes drilled into selected high grade logs between 26 to 30 years old.

5. The duanwood are covered with nutrient-rich topsoil. The quality of soil and duanwood is crucial for the reishi to draw nutrients upon and grow into large, high quality reishi.
